The mission of the Fair Labor Association (FLA) is to combine the efforts of industry, civil society organizations, and colleges and universities to protect workers’ rights and improve working conditions worldwide by promoting adherence to international labor standards.

The FLA conducts independent monitoring and verification to ensure that the FLA’s Workplace Standards are upheld where FLA company products are produced. Through public reporting, the FLA provides consumers and shareholders with credible information to make responsible buying decisions.

Who We Are
The Global Fairness Initiative (GFI) promotes a more equitable, sustainable approach to economic development for the world's working poor by advancing fair wages, equal access to markets and balanced public policy to generate opportunity and end the cycle of poverty. The GFI approach:

   • Engage multiple players - workers, employers, and government - to find economic solutions and       create economic opportunity.
   • Partner with locally established organizations to have the greatest impact and lasting results.
   • Leverage international networks of respected experts, political and social luminaries, trade and commerce officials, and business leaders to maximize the inputs and impacts of GFI programs.

What We Do
Since 2002, GFI has improved hundreds of thousands of lives in Latin America, Africa, and Asia. We have developed innovative programs to preserve and create jobs, empowered women by removing barriers to economic success, implemented fair wages and increased revenues and attracted domestic and foreign direct investment. GFI programs achieve success in 5 core areas:

   • Improve Access to Markets
   • Bring Fairness to Free Trade

Why GFI Now
The world today is increasingly interconnected through global political, financial and social mechanisms that create opportunity and drive innovation. Yet, for the fifty percent of the population that lives on less than $2 a day these new global structures have created increased economic isolation and significantly worsened the income gap for millions of working poor. Creating meaningful economic progress for the global poor requires people and programs that connect local knowledge and leadership with global innovation and structures so that top down opportunity is interwoven with bottom up capacity. The Global Fairness Initiative is a leader in bridging the connection between capacity and opportunity and creating meaningful and sustainable livelihoods for small farmers, textile workers and marginalized poor communities throughout the globe. Demand has grown for GFI's innovative programs to reach further into Africa, Asia and Latin America and we are committed meeting the need, but never to growing beyond it.

Partners staff and our global network of practitioners embody the finest in international expertise and local leadership; together we develop vital change and conflict management skills and processes, facilitate the resolution of disputes, and empower ordinary people to participate in decision-making at the local and national level. As a result, thousands of people have benefited from new housing, educational and employment opportunities for minorities, revamped taxation systems and public services, new leadership positions for women and youth, decreased pollution, increased public safety and other community improvements.

Since our founding in 1989, Partners has recruited leading social entrepreneurs to establish independent Centers for Conflict Resolution and Change Management around the world. Currently there are 17 Centers, and we continue to expand our network. Through the Centers, Partners has contributed to the democratic and economic transitions of many countries. Our teams of international trainers and consultants work hard to inspire and support local leadership, building new professions of communications specialists, mediators, negotiators and collaborative planners who can adapt and apply innovative participatory processes to the particular challenges facing their countries.

With his long-standing interest in community affairs and close connections with leading figures from the business world, The Prince of Wales is well-placed to use his position to support the development of corporate social responsibility initiatives throughout the UK and abroad.

He believes that the private sector has the ability to make a real difference to many of the issues and problems facing communities.

The Prince of Wales has shown a strong personal interest in environmental issues for decades. The main themes to which he most often returns are the need for sustainable development, for responsible stewardship of our natural resources and for global co-operation to protect our environmental heritage. Business in the Community (BITC)
Business in the Community (BITC) is the largest and one of the oldest organizations promoting corporate responsibility. It has operations in Wales, Northern Ireland and every English region as well as partnerships internationally.

Its 750-plus member companies are committed to working together to improve their impact on society, whether on the environment, or in the market place, the workplace and the community. As well as being an active President, The Prince of Wales has personally initiated several major programmes including Seeing is Believing, Rural Action, Pro Help, Business Action on Homelessness and Cares.

Scottish Business in the Community (SBC)
Scottish Business in the Community (SBC) enables companies to make their impact on society as positive and productive as possible, while gaining tangible business benefits.

SBC is led by a group of member companies committed to the promotion of responsible business practice in Scotland.

The Prince of Wales's Business & the Environment Programme (BEP)
The Prince of Wales's Business & the Environment Programme (BEP) was established in 1994 and is run by University of Cambridge Programme for Sustainability Leadership.

The Programme helps senior executives explore the business case for sustainable development and integrate sustainability principles into their organizations.

Business leaders and representatives from the public sector and non-governmental organizations participate in one of the seminars held each year in Cambridge, New York, Salzburg and Cape Town.

The Programme has introduced over 1000 executives from over 400 organizations in more than 30 countries to the sustainability debate.

In Kind Direct
Developed from earlier initiatives of The Prince of Wales, In Kind Direct was founded in 1996 to distribute companies’ surplus goods to charities, helping to avoid unnecessary waste. It is the only organization coordinating in kind giving on a UK-wide scale.

Since the charity started, £60million of goods have been donated by hundreds of companies, including many household names. Around 4,000 charities have benefited so far.

During 2009, In Kind Direct redistributed a record 6,451 pallets of goods valued at £16.1million.

These represent every kind of cause, including under-privileged children, sickness and disability, family welfare, homelessness, emergency relief, community support and job skills training.

Arts & Business
Arts & Business has been under the patronage of The Prince of Wales for 18 years, helping business people to support the arts, and the arts to inspire business people.

Arts & Business secures funding and resources for the arts from business through a range of programs and services. The charity has a membership of more than 400 companies.

According to figures released by Arts & Business in January 2008 after a survey of 4,500 arts organizations, the total amount of private support for the arts has grown by 11 per cent to £599.45million.

The Truman National Security Project is a national security leadership institute, the nation's only organization that recruits, trains, and positions a new generation of progressives across America to lead on national security.

Our mission is to provide the skills, knowledge, and network to create an influential force of leaders across the country who advance strong progressive national security policy.

Today you will find leaders we have trained running for office across the country, advising presidential and Congressional campaigns, drafting legislation in the halls of Congress, assuming leadership posts in the military, playing key roles in local and national government, and working on the front lines of America's homeland security.

Since its founding in 1961-1962, the Council has been a preeminent, non partisan institution devoted to promoting transatlantic cooperation and international security. In its early years, distinguished American foreign policy leaders – Dean Acheson, Dean Rusk, Christian Herter, Lucius Clay, and others – developed an ambitious agenda to engage Americans with their European partners on matters of global concern.
