Dave Korkoian is a Director of Government and Public Affairs at Blue Star Strategies, LLC, bringing extensive experience in the worlds of foreign policy and domestic politics.  His practice focuses on expanding trade and investment, promoting democracy and strengthening U.S. bilateral relationships.  He specializes in crafting strategies that couple traditional lobbying tactics with emerging advocacy tools—often engaging governments at the national, international and grassroots levels.

Previously, Dave worked on the campaign of Senator Claire McCaskill, who since taking office has become one of the biggest advocates of government oversight and a key moderate ally of President Obama. He has also worked as an election observation coordinator at the U.S. embassy in Kampala, Uganda, and in the non-profit sector in Accra, Ghana.

He graduated from Truman State University with degrees in Political Science and English and the George Washington University with a Masters of Political Management.  His academic awards include receiving the President’s Special Recognition of Academic Excellence for his work on economic development in Sub-Saharan Africa.

Dave has earned a Certificate in Sustainability Leadership from the University of Oregon, and is accredited as a LEED Green Associate by the Green Building Certification Institute.  Dave is an avid cyclist and an Eagle Scout.
