Mario has previously done consulting on public security policies for the Inter-American Development Bank. He also worked at the magazine Estrategia y Negocios, where he focused on Central American political affairs.  As a fellow at the Levitt Center for Public Affairs, Mario did research on El Salvador’s transition to democracy. He also interned at The Cato Institute, where he researched democracy and economic development issues.

 

Mario graduated from Hamilton College with a double major in Economics and World Politics. While at Hamilton, he was co-captain of the Varsity Squash Team. Mario was born and raised in El Salvador.
